Job Description

A letter from Dr. Bri Great Works Chiropractic — South Berwick, Maine Dear Future Team Member, I'll be honest with you. Writing a job ad feels a little cold to me. So I'm just going to talk to you like a person. My name is Dr. Bri. My husband Dr. Seth and I built Great Works Chiropractic here in South Berwick over fifteen years ago — and we've poured ourselves into it ever since. We're both from Maine. This is our community. These are our neighbors walking through that door every day, and we take that seriously. People around here call me the "office mom" — and I'll own that completely. I homeschooled our four kids, which means I know how to hold a lot of moving pieces together, keep people on track, and still make sure everyone feels seen and cared for. That's exactly what this office runs on. We help people get their lives back. Through chiropractic care, functional neurology, and nutritional support, we create real, lasting change for our patients. Our goal — every single day — is to be the highlight of their day. That's not a marketing line. We mean it. And to do that, we need the right person at the front of this office. That person might be you — if: You genuinely like people. You're warm without being a pushover. You take quiet pride in keeping things running smoothly. You notice what needs doing before anyone asks. And somewhere inside, you have a feeling that you're meant to do more than just fill a role — you want to help build something. Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or customer service is wonderful. But honestly? Character matters more to us than a resume. What we're offering $21-23/hour to start, based on your experience (and a clear path to more as you grow with us) Chiropractic care for you, on us (because we believe our team deserves the same care we give our patients) Supplements and health products at cost (we want you healthy and thriving) Paid holidays (because rest matters) After 90 days: accrued vacation time (time away makes you better at everything) and 401(k) matching (that's a retirement savings plan — we contribute alongside whatever you put in, so your future self will thank you) A genuine 90-day review — not just to check a box, but to make sure we're taking care of you the way you'll be taking care of our patients (raises and expanded responsibilities are on the table for the right person) Travel to state association seminars and professional development events (we pay for it — you just show up ready to learn) Access to a practice management support designed specifically for healthcare offices (for the right person who wants to grow, this is a remarkable opportunity most front desk positions simply don't offer) A word about our schedule We're open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, (soon to be open Tuesdays) — roughly 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Yes, those are long days. In chiropractic, patients want to come in before or after work, so our hours reflect that. We deliberately close for a long weekend so our team has real time to recover, handle life, and take care of themselves. Hours run 30-38 per week. We'll always be straight with you about what to expect — and why. What you'll be doing Patient Communication Answering phones, scheduling appointments, confirming visits, handling cancellations, returning calls, responding to emails and texts, and following up with patients who've been away. Financial & Insurance Collecting payments, verifying insurance benefits, explaining financial policies, setting up payment plans, and keeping patient accounts current. Patient Experience Greeting patients warmly, checking people in and out, managing wait times, introducing new patients to how we work, and handling the occasional difficult conversation with grace and professionalism. Schedule Management Keeping the provider schedule full and organized, filling openings, coordinating new patient appointments, and managing patient recalls and reactivations. Administrative Support Maintaining accurate patient records, working with our chiropractic office software, scanning and uploading documents, managing office supplies, supporting marketing and events, and tracking key office numbers. One last thing This is a long-term position. We're not looking for someone to fill a seat until something better comes along. We're looking for someone who will eventually feel like this office is partly theirs — because in the ways that matter, it will be. If that sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you. Warmly, Dr. Bri Great Works Chiropractic South Berwick, Maine management@greatworkschiro.com P.S. — Please send your resume and a short note telling us why you think you belong here. We read every single one.
