Job Description

Job Purpose An internship gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. It offers the employer the opportunity to bring new ideas and energy into the workplace and develop talent. Qualifications High School Student, OR College student currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field Minimum 2.8 GPA Must have reliable transportation Core Job Duties General office duties including filing, faxing, answering phones. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization. Listen to others to facilitate an open exchange of ideas and provide effective communication. Maintain confidentiality, at all times, within the legal framework. Will adhere to established guidelines regarding confidentiality as well as the agency's adopted code of ethics. Maintain acceptable attendance record. Exhibit a professional appearance, attitude and demeanor that reflects confidence, positive self-esteem and overall professionalism when working with person(s)-served, co-workers, families, and referral sources. Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models. Orally communicate information effectively and accurately. Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency's certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care. Abide by program and agency policies and procedures. Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
