Child Care Coordinator Menaul School - 3.4 Albuquerque, NM Job Details Part-time $18.70 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Operations management Early childhood education High school diploma or GED Supervising experience Team management Associate's degree Early Childhood Education Full Job Description Menaul School is currently seeking a Child Care Coordinator to oversee our middle school after-care program. Part-time - $18.70 an hour Summary Oversee the daily operations, safety, and educational quality of the after-care program. The coordinator supervises staff, develops age-appropriate activities, and ensures compliance with licensing regulations. Other duties include maintaining a safe environment for children, communicating regularly with parents/guardians, managing enrollment/attendance and budgeting. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to child development are essential for success in this role. Core Responsibilities 1.
Compliance & Licensing :
Ensure the program meets all local, state, and school district regulations, including health, safety, and staffing requirements. 2.
Student Safety & Supervision:
Ensure a safe, secure, and inclusive environment at all times, including proper supervision, behavior management, and emergency preparedness. 3.
Staff Management:
Train, supervise, and evaluate program staff; provide ongoing mentoring and support to maintain high performance. 4.
Student Activities :
Design and oversee age-appropriate activities such as academic support, recreation, STEM, arts, etc. that will engage students. 5.
Budget & Administration :
Manage program budget, supplies, enrollment, attendance records, and reporting requirements. The director will need to keep diligent records and stay up to date on program documentation. 6.
Work Schedule:
Required to be on-site Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM during program/school hours, with additional time as needed for planning, staff/student coordination, and administrative duties. 7. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CDA, associate, or bachelor's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Must meet state requirements and our center/school requirements.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory/management experience; experience in early childhood or middle school education strongly preferred.
Pay:
$18.70 per hour
