Skilled at helping patients understand their dental care options, managing financial arrangements, and ensuring a smooth, positive experience from consultation to completion. Known for building trust with patients, supporting clinical teams, and maintaining efficient office operations. Position Summary:
The Dental Treatment Coordinator serves as the liaison between patients and the dental team, ensuring that patients understand their treatment options, financial responsibilities, and scheduling needs. This role combines administrative expertise with strong communication and customer service skills to create a positive patient experience and support the efficiency of the dental practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Communication:
Explain proposed dental treatments, procedures, and associated costs in a clear and compassionate manner. Answer patient questions regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, and payment options. Follow up with patients to schedule appointments and confirm treatment acceptance.
Treatment Planning:
Collaborate with dentists and hygienists to prepare and present treatment plans. Ensure treatment plans are accurately documented in patient records. Coordinate multi-visit or complex treatment schedules.
Financial Coordination:
Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorizations when necessary. Provide cost estimates and review payment options with patients. Process payments, set up financing arrangements, and track outstanding balances.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed. Manage appointment scheduling to optimize the provider's time and office flow. Assist with recall and reactivation of patients to maintain a full schedule.
Customer Service:
Greet patients warmly and ensure a welcoming environment. Handle patient concerns or complaints professionally and promptly. Support the dental team in maintaining high standards of patient care and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or dental office training preferred). Experience in dental office administration or treatment coordination. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Proficiency with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
