Job Description

Clinical Assessment Specialist Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled, and detail-oriented Clinical Assessment Specialist to join our behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health assessments for individuals seeking services, helping ensure timely access to appropriate care and treatment. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting individuals in need, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and thrives in a collaborative, team-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic screenings, and risk evaluations Determine appropriate levels of care utilizing established clinical criteria, including ASAM and DSM-5 guidelines Develop initial treatment recommendations and facilitate appropriate referrals Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary clinical teams to support treatment planning and continuity of care Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Provide crisis assessment and intervention services as needed Coordinate care with community providers, hospitals, referral sources, and support systems Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field Active Ohio licensure (LPC/LPCC, LSW/LISW, or equivalent) Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, clinical intake, or assessment services preferred Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and clinical best practices Excellent communication, clinical judgment, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment What We Offer 33 paid days off per year Medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) benefits Flexible full-time scheduling available (Monday-Friday) No weekends, holidays, or after-hours on-call responsibilities Licensure supervision and professional support CEU and licensure reimbursement Paid conference and training time Malpractice coverage provided Career advancement and growth opportunities Supportive team culture with a strong focus on employee well-being Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program eligible Salary is competitive and based on licensure and experience.
