Point of Care Coordinator, St.

Ann's and Lewis Center Position Purpose:

The Coordinator, Point of Care oversees the Point of Care Testing program at assigned facilities. Serves as a liaison between Patient Care Services, Organizational Learning & Development and the Clinical Laboratory. Provides education, development of policies and procedures and design/implementation of new testing as necessary and in accordance with Laboratory Standardization Teams.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Baccalaureate or Associates Degree in Medical Technology or related field.

• Licensure /

Certification:

Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent; eligible for certification. Certified Med Tech, Medical Lab Technician or Medical Lab Scientist required.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years clinical experience with point of care/laboratory testing.

• Highly motivated and self directed and able to function independently.
• Leadership qualities, human relations skills and decision making ability.
• Readily accepts change and can influence people and organizational climate.
