Healthy Expectations Advocate -
Bilingual Required Variety Care Overview Description Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The healthy expectations advocate position is designed to assist pregnant patients and new parents, giving positive parenting guidance and information during their appointment following the Healthy Steps model. This position will work with Women's Health Providers, Pediatric Providers, Behavioral Health Providers and a Child Development Specialist to provide families with parenting guidance, support between visits, referrals and care coordination, all specific to their needs.
Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge:
High school diploma or GED. Bi-lingual (English & Spanish). Possesses intermediate computer skills including data entry and typing. Possesses a positive work attitude and the ability to work as a team member. Ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt to change. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information private and in accordance with HIPAA and Variety Care Policy.
Preferred Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge:
Two years of experience assisting clients with referrals and/or social services preferred. Experience in the Oklahoma City metro.
ADA Requirements:
Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Able to drive between and to all Variety Care sites upon notice, and willingness to work at multiple locations, as needed.
