Job Description
Serenity Counseling & Wellness is a mental health private practice located in N. Haledon, N.J. Our office is expanding and we are seeking talented and motivated individuals to add to our group practice. We are seeking 1 part time mental health professional (LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LAMFT) for an exciting employment opportunity as a hybrid Outpatient Therapist. Partially licensed clinicians (LSW/LAC) will be considered if have very strong experience and work ethic. Position can transition to fill time for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse range of diagnosis and age ranges. They will also be detail oriented (prefers quality over quantity), motivated, flexible, have excellent clinical skills, and open to learning and growing their skills. A HUGE plus is to be Bilingual. Credentialing, professional liability insurance, supervision, EHR, Telehealth platform, marketing/advertising, HIPPA complaint communication, office space, supplies, and all billing and insurance needs are provided by the company. Duties and Responsibilities Provide individual, family, & couple therapy in person & online 15 hrs/week Conduct intakes, MSE Plan, develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans Refer clients to additional resources/specialists Update their treatment plan as necessary May conduct groups when necessary Ensure HIPPA compliance (documentation, communication, sessions, etc.) Requirements and Qualifications A master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling. Valid clinical license (LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC) in the state of New Jersey Background check Work some evening and/or weekend hours (at least 50%) Strong communication/ organizational/interpersonal skills Must be accurate and timely with practice record keeping Provides services and assessments in accordance with professional standards and requirements of licensing/accrediting bodies. Demonstrates working knowledge of current DSM, resources, discharge planning, good and ethical decision-making Experience implementing CBT, behavioral interventions, and other interventions Flexibility to adapt to client needs (scheduling, readiness for change stage, interventions) Why Serenity is different & what we bring to table: Only low/mid risk cases so not much time spent between sessions for unpaid work No mandated/court involved clients Easier/less time on paperwork: templates for easier notes, tx plans so work focuses on the client, not paperwork Admin/billing support: no need to bill clients Above average resources: access hundreds digital documents as well as closets of supplies, kits to help your sessions Amazing supervision: great supportive supervisors, individual & group supervision Flexibility to schedule own cases
