Clinic Operations Leadership Join a Team Dedicated to Community Health A respected nonprofit healthcare organization in Nashville is seeking a bilingual Certified Medical Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality outpatient care in a patient-centered clinical setting. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with healthcare providers while helping individuals access essential medical services, preventive care, and ongoing treatment. About the Clinic Our multidisciplinary healthcare team provides a variety of services focused on prevention, wellness, and long-term health management, including: Preventive healthcare services Infectious disease treatment and monitoring Sexual wellness and education programs Laboratory testing and diagnostic support Patient navigation and care coordination Position Summary The Clinical Care Coordinator will support providers with direct patient care, clinical procedures, documentation, and administrative tasks. This role plays an important part in maintaining efficient clinic operations while ensuring patients receive attentive and respectful care throughout their visit. Core Responsibilities Patient Care Support Welcome and prepare patients for clinical appointments Obtain and document vital signs, medical history updates, and medication information Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures Provide patients with information and support related to their care plans Help maintain a positive and inclusive patient experience Clinical Procedures Perform venipuncture and specimen collection Administer injections and prescribed medications within scope of practice Process laboratory specimens and coordinate testing requirements Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are properly stocked and prepared Follow established infection control and safety protocols Documentation & Coordination Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient documentation Schedule appointments and assist with patient follow-up activities Support communication between patients, providers, and clinic staff Respond to patient inquiries and assist with care coordination needs Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic projects Operational Support Assist with daily clinic workflow and administrative functions Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional healthcare environment Support ongoing staff training and operational initiatives Maintain confidentiality and compliance with applicable healthcare regulations Qualifications Qualified candidates will typically possess: Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential in Tennessee Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient healthcare setting preferred Experience using electronic medical record systems is beneficial Fluency in both English and Spanish required Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and patient-focused in a fast-paced environment Why Consider This Opportunity?
