Job Description
CLASS Program Therapy Coordinator Job Summary The CLASS Program Therapy Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and compliance of all therapy services provided under the Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) program. This role ensures therapy services are delivered in alignment with the Individual Plan of Care (IPC), Individual Service Plan (ISP), and all applicable Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and Medicaid requirements. Key Responsibilities 1. Clinical Oversight & Coordination of Therapy Services
- Coordinate all therapy services authorized under the CLASS Individual Plan of Care (IPC)
- Serve as liaison between therapy providers (PT, OT, SLP, behavioral health) and the organization
- Ensure therapy services align with participant goals and service plans
- Monitor therapy utilization and ensure appropriate delivery
- Review therapy evaluations and integrate recommendations into service plans
- Facilitate communication between Case Managers, DSPs, and therapists 2. Authorization & Compliance Management
- Verify therapy services are authorized prior to initiation
- Ensure compliance with
HHSC CLASS
waiver rules and Medicaid guidelines- Monitor authorized vs. delivered units
- Maintain audit-ready documentation
- Support HHSC audits and reviews 3. Provider Contracting & Credentialing
- Verify therapist licensure and credentials
- Maintain updated records of licenses, insurance, and NPIs
- Coordinate provider contracts and agreements
- Track credential renewals 4. Scheduling & Service Delivery Oversight
- Coordinate therapy schedules with families and providers
- Ensure timely service initiation
- Monitor missed visits and resolve scheduling issues
- Track completion rates 5. Documentation & Record Management
- Review therapy documentation for compliance and accuracy
- Ensure timely evaluations and re-evaluations
- Maintain participant therapy records
- Track due dates for reports and authorizations 6. Financial & Billing Oversight
- Reconcile therapy services with billed units
- Support claims submission and tracking
- Monitor costs and fees
- Resolve billing discrepancies with finance 7. Quality Assurance & Performance Monitoring
- Conduct internal audits
- Monitor participant progress
- Address service concerns
- Implement corrective action plans
- Participate in QA/QI initiatives Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 2-3 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of HHSC CLASS and Medicaid preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
