Bright Horizons Recovery Home — Millcreek, Utah (Salt Lake City Metro) Position Details Reports To Clinical Director Full-Time Schedule Exempt (min 40 hours) ; primarily Monday-Friday with some flexibility Part-Time Schedule Not Available FLSA Status Exempt (Salaried) License Required Active Utah CMHC, LCSW, or LMFT required; associate-level license (ACMHC, CSW, AMFT) considered with appropriate supervision Position Summary The Primary Therapist & Clinical Care Coordinator serves as a central leader within the clinical team, responsible for delivering direct therapeutic services while overseeing care coordination, admissions, and continuity of care for all clients within the program. Working under the supervision of the Clinical Director, this role facilitates therapeutic group sessions, develops individualized treatment planning, and ensures consistent implementation of resident care through collaboration, delegation, and support of Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs). This position oversees the intake and admissions process, coordinates communication with probation officers, referral sources, and outside providers, and works closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions into and throughout treatment. The Primary Therapist & Clinical Care Coordinator functions as the connective link between clinical services, operations, and resident support, helping maintain a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and highly coordinated treatment environment. Core Responsibilities Provide individual psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, or equivalent) Facilitate skills-based psychoeducational groups aligned with the program's integrated co-occurring clinical model and Living in Balance curriculum Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, intake evaluations, and admissions coordination to support appropriate placement and continuity of care Develop, implement, and maintain individualized treatment plans aligned with resident clinical goals and program expectations Serve as the primary clinical care coordinator for residents, ensuring communication, continuity, and follow-through across all phases of treatment Coordinate with Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) and residential staff to delegate, communicate, and reinforce therapeutic interventions, behavioral plans, and resident support strategies Collaborate with the Psychiatric NP and Clinical Director on integrated treatment planning, psychiatric symptom monitoring, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) coordination, and clinical case review Communicate with probation officers, referral sources, outside providers, and family/support systems as clinically appropriate to ensure coordinated resident care Participate in weekly clinical team meetings, case consultations, and interdisciplinary care coordination discussions Monitor resident clinical progress through the phase system and contribute to phase advancement reviews and treatment recommendations Conduct Moral/Values Inventory and Relapse Prevention Planning with residents in Phases II and III Submit session plans prior to scheduled sessions and complete all clinical documentation within 24 hours in SimplePractice Participate in discharge planning, aftercare coordination, and warm handoff communication with outpatient providers and community resources Support the residential milieu by reinforcing program expectations, responding to crises, assisting with de-escalation, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment Assist with day-to-day clinical operations and perform additional duties as needed to support the overall functioning, safety, and quality of care within the residential treatment program Maintain compliance with all applicable Utah R501-19 residential treatment standards, documentation requirements, and ethical guidelines Qualifications Active Utah CMHC, LCSW, or LMFT license required; associate-level license (ACMHC, CSW, AMFT) considered with appropriate supervision Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with adults, preferably in residential, inpatient, or IOP settings Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders required Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) strongly preferred Experience with CBT, DBT, ACT, or trauma-focused modalities Strong documentation skills and ability to meet compliance deadlines What We Offer Opportunity to shape clinical programming in a growing residential program Bright Horizons Recovery Home is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive clinical team.
