Respiratory Care Coordinator Leadership Opportunity | Competitive Pay | Collaborative Team Environment Join a team that values leadership, teamwork, and exceptional patient care. We're seeking an experienced and motivated Respiratory Care Coordinator to support the daily operations of our Respiratory Care department at Froedtert South. This role combines clinical expertise with operational coordination to ensure efficient workflow, appropriate staffing, and high-quality respiratory care across the organization.

Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital Scheduling & Flexibility Full-time leadership position Primarily day shift with flexibility based on departmental needs Participation in coverage support as needed to maintain patient care operations Schedule expectations discussed during the interview process What You'll Do As a Respiratory Care Coordinator, you'll serve as a clinical and operational leader within the Respiratory Care department while maintaining hands-on clinical competency to support patient care when needed. Coordinate daily respiratory care operations to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal utilization of resources Prepare, manage, and adjust staff schedules based on patient census and procedural volume Anticipate staffing needs proactively to maintain safe and effective department coverage Communicate schedule updates, openings, and staffing changes clearly and timely to staff and leadership Approve time-off requests and coordinate schedule modifications in accordance with departmental guidelines Collaborate with leadership and education teams to maintain appropriate staffing levels and clinical competencies Ensure department readiness through oversight of equipment maintenance, supply inventory, organization, and expired supply management Maintain competency in respiratory therapy skills and provide clinical coverage as needed Support the development and implementation of departmental policies, workflows, and process improvement initiatives Serve as a liaison between respiratory staff, nursing, physicians, and leadership to promote collaboration and resolve concerns Monitor compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards under the direction of department leadership Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and performance review activities Assist with employee timekeeping and attendance tracking in accordance with organizational policy Support departmental operational and financial goals Assist with orientation and training of new staff members and student clinical rotations as requested What We're Looking For Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist Previous lead, charge, or coordinator experience preferred but not required Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment Ability to read, write, speak, hear, and comprehend the English language Physical, technical, and cognitive ability, including manual dexterity, to safely use patient care equipment Licensure & Certifications Licensed or eligible to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Wisconsin Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire Current PALS certification or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire Current NRP certification or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire Benefits & Perks Medical, dental, and vision insurance 403(b) retirement plan with company match Tuition reimbursement and professional growth support Competitive Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee discount program Why Join Us?
