In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across outpatient and inpatient settings, including hospital medicine, urgent care, dermatology, geriatrics, and internal medicine. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinical operations, accurate documentation, and exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as administering medications, drawing X-rays, and supporting procedures in the clinic or hospital setting. Support patient care activities by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to accurately document patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment plans. Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to support diagnosis and treatment processes across various specialties like emergency medicine or medical-surgical units. Support hospital experience tasks such as inpatient rounds or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) assistance while adhering to Level I or Level II trauma center protocols. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, assisting with paperwork, and ensuring a positive experience during outpatient visits or emergency care situations. Qualifications English and Haitian Creole Prior experience in medical settings such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency departments is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration techniques. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in X-ray operation or emergency medicine are advantageous. Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and familiarity with hospital protocols for inpatient care or Level I/II trauma centers. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in fast-paced environments like urgent care or hospital units. Excellent communication skills focused on delivering compassionate patient service across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients in PICU settings.
