Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing 2 of the most recent 4 years' experience performing as a CDI reviewer at an inpatient facility Working knowledge of federal, state and payer-specific regulations and policies pertaining to documentation, coding, and reimbursement Working knowledge of data analysis and personal computer spreadsheet software Well-developed leadership and interpersonal skills Polished presentation skills Well-developed written and oral communications skills
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
One of the following: Current Alabama RN license Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama• Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) within 12 months of placement in position

BSN Responsibilities:
The Specialist Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Integrity Reviewer performs secondary clinical chart reviews, resolution of DRG discrepancies, and education to clinical staff regarding opportunities for diagnosis clarification, principal diagnosis accuracy and improvement of capture of additional comorbid conditions to include Hospital Acquired Conditions (HAC) and focused Patient Safety Indicators (PSI) diagnoses.
