Internship duties
Gain hands-on experience in healthcare quality improvement (QI), compliance, and organizational performance initiatives within a professional medical setting.
Collaborate with the QI Program Manager and interdisciplinary staff to support ongoing continuous quality improvement (CQI) projects and strategic objectives.
Develop foundational skills in healthcare data analysis, risk assessment methodology, and performance measurement practices.
Participate in professional meetings with organizational leadership and community partners to gain exposure to healthcare operations and decision-making processes.
Assist in identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement through data review and observational learning.
Contribute to the preparation of written summaries, reports, and presentation materials for internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
Strengthen analytical, organizational, and professional communication skills through project-based assignments and presentations.
Observe regulatory, compliance, and accreditation-related quality processes within a healthcare environment.
Support departmental administrative and project coordination tasks related to quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
Build practical experience working within a collaborative healthcare team environment focused on patient safety and organizational excellence.
Receive mentorship and professional development guidance from experienced healthcare quality and compliance professionals.
Develop an understanding of healthcare quality standards, risk management practices, and operational improvement strategies.
