$115,000-$145,000 (based on experience) Company Overview A privately held, family-owned healthcare insurance and risk services organization in its high growth stage is looking to bring on a Healthcare Data Engineer / Analyst. This person would take ownership of healthcare claims data, risk analytics, and SQL-driven reporting across the organization. This role is highly hands-on and requires day ‑ to ‑ day work in SQL Server, managing large medical claims datasets, and directly supporting underwriting, risk, and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Hands ‑ On SQL Server & Data Management Write, optimize, and maintain complex T ‑ SQL queries across very large healthcare datasets (millions of rows) Manage large medical claims, eligibility, and provider datasets Build and maintain stored procedures, indexes, and performance tuning strategies Own ETL processes and recurring data workflows within an in ‑ house data warehouse Risk Analytics & Insurance Support Perform hands-on risk analysis supporting underwriting and reinsurance decisions Produce large claim, stop ‑ loss, and loss development reporting Build incurred vs. paid analyses, trend reporting, and utilization insights Reporting & Automation Produce critical operational and analytical reports across multiple lines of business Standardize monthly reporting packages Work directly with stakeholders across the organization to translate needs into data solutions Required Qualifications 5-10 years of experience working with healthcare data Advanced, hands-on SQL Server / T ‑ SQL expertise (heavy daily SQL use) Extensive experience working with large medical claims and eligibility datasets Background building ETL pipelines and recurring reporting workflows Comfortable writing complex joins across very large datasets Benefits Full benefits package included If you meet the qualifications for this role, please apply now!
