JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and coordinates multidisciplinary clinical informatics activities with initiative management skills focused on the facilitation, requirements gathering, implementation and evaluation of clinical informatics activities with a specialization in ancillary/support and multidisciplinary workflows in accordance with department's goals and objectives and mission of The Queen's Health System (QHS). Ensures that the comprehensive approach to multidisciplinary clinical workflows is successfully accounted for in informatics activities that affect clinical teams in ancillary/support roles. Serves as a resource for Medical Staff and Medical Center departments, specializing in ancillary/support roles for assessing and planning clinical informatics or health information technology needs.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Bachelor's degree in health informatics or a health care profession. Master's or doctorate degree in health informatics or a health care related field preferred. Current Hawaii State license as a clinical professional (i.e. physician assistant, physical therapist, occupational therapist, etc.); OR a Master's degree in health informatics may be substituted for the licensure requirement. Certification in EPIC applications or informatics preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE
Combination of five (5) years experience with three (3) years clinical experience in a specific area of specialty, and two (2) years experience in facilitating, implementing, and/or evaluating clinical informatics activities; OR five (5) years in health informatics with a Master's degree in health informatics. Prior supervisory/leadership experience, demonstrating ability to lead projects.
Experience to demonstrate:
o Knowledge and demonstrated experience with electronic medical records (strongly preferred to be EPIC), clinical informatics, computer word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications. o Strong sense of customer service to consistently and effectively address business and clinical partners' needs. o Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities and direction in projects and core work. o Enjoys participating in a collaborative work environment partnering with colleagues inside and outside of own department. o Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. o Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Experience working with clinical informatics projects, understanding of clinical operations, including experience with Electronic Medical/Health Record Systems (EMR/EHR) and data (preferably Epic). Experience with health care regulatory and clinical quality measurements frameworks such as NCQA HEDIS, Meaningful Use, PQRS, MIPS, OPPE, CORE measures, etc. preferred. Experience with, or exposure to, information technology best practices and application of standard information technology data and programming principles, theories, and concepts (e.g. requirements documentation, source code control, change management, promotions, and segregation of duties) preferred.
