at Department of Healthcare and Family Services in Springfield, Illinois, United States Job Description Essential Functions Subject to management approval, serves as Long Term Care Reimbursement Analyst by planning, organizing, directing, executing, and managing the Statewide Long-Term Care Reimbursement Program Serves as liaison to agency staff on the maintenance of the Long-Term Care Reimbursement Program Develops databases for Long-Term Care reimbursement Researches and evaluates issues relative to reimbursement Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization Specialized Skills Three (3) years of experience working with Statistical Software Suite, Structured Query Language, BiQuery, Excel, or similar software Two (2) years of experience with Medicaid reimbursement Preferred Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Statistical Software Suite, Structured Query Language, Bi Query, Excel or similar software Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Medicaid Reimbursement Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with and analyzing large data sets to develop policies and inform decision making Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience working with policies and procedures for a public or private organization Extensive knowledge of Medicaid reimbursement policies and procedures Conditions of Employment Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled or last-minute overtime.
