Job Description

H.C. Wainwright is a leading New York City-based boutique investment bank focused on capital markets and equity research across technology, life sciences, and other high-growth sectors. H.C. The firm is seeking an Analyst to join their healthcare capital markets banking team in New York. The capital markets team works closely with the investment banking team to advise clients on diverse options for capital raising strategies, engagement with institutional investors and market positioning. The team's product breadth covers a wide range of financings that include initial public offerings, private placements, public follow-ons, registered directs, at-the-market transactions and other equity linked instruments. As an analyst you will work closely and directly with senior team members to gain broad-based experience in deal mechanics and unique exposure to both sector investors and issuer companies.
Key Responsibilities :
Acting as part of our Healthcare Capital Markets team and participating in projects focused on sector specialist investors and life sciences companies. Working directly throughout all phases of capital raising transactions, including liaising with internal teams and external partners as necessary Drafting market and situation analyses, pitch materials and information memoranda Utilizing economic, financial, quantitative and qualitative analytics to evaluate and execute capital raising transactions Contributing to the development and communication of proposals and advice to current and prospective clients Ensuring quality of client deliverables by having strong attention to detail Assuming increasing responsibilities related to business development and initiatives based on their experience and capabilities
Requirements:
BA or BS from and accredited institution 0-2 years of relevant work / industry experience Ability to work in-office five days per week
Desired Qualifications:
Background in life sciences or finance preferred Self-starter; strong work ethic Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Team player FINRA SIE, Series 7, 63, and 79 preferred (or within 4 months from the start of employment)
Compensation:
Starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $100,000 – $150,000 per year, commensurate with relevant experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Employment Type Full-time About H.
