QRM Part Time Day Mon-Fri 8-4, three shifts per weekSalary Range:
$83,239.46- 124,880.
Following:
1. Understands and ads to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors. 2. Acts as a resource for performance improvement, regulatorypliance and the nationally endorsed hospital quality measures. 3. Accurately abstracts Quality Measures from medical records for internal and external measure sets (CMS, TJC, P4P, GWTG, Sepsis, NSQIP, MBSAQIP, CJR, and any additional quality programs). 4. Leads performance improvement activities. 5. Performs/facilitates review of clinical quality of care issues through investigation, tracking, and initiation of provider interventions. 6. Leads incident investigations including "interdepartmental reviews (IDR)", "root cause analysis," "near miss", critical events and sentinel events. 7. Demonstrates appropriate utilization of resources necessary to obtain valid and reliable data entry. 8. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements ï‚- Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field required. If an RN must have a BSN. Master's Degree preferred. ï‚
- 5 years clinical experience in nursing, radiation therapy, respiratory therapy, or another related clinical field. ï‚
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required if Quality Specialist will be participating in the Stroke Program. ï‚
- Receive CPHQ Certificate (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) within preferably 3 years after being in the position and no more than 5 years in the position. ï‚
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) ï‚
- Clinical Quality Specialist responsible for abstracting surgical quality charts are required to obtain Surgical Clinical Reviewer
- (SCR for the
NSQIP/MBSAQIP
Program) within three months. Core Competencies ï‚- Teamwork and collaboration are essential, as is the ability to work independently toplete tasks. ï‚
- Excellentmunication skills are required with all team members including but not limited to, Senior Staff and Administration, Physicians, Nurses, Clinical Staff. ï‚
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required. ï‚
- Must be able to plan and remainanized with multiple tasks due. Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment ï‚
- May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital's SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital's Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, d on a disc. ï‚
