We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where individuals can find hope, healing, and long-term recovery. Overview The Clinical Support Specialist (CDCA. LCDC II) provides comprehensive clinical support within the residential treatment environment. This role assists the clinical team by facilitating and co-facilitating therapeutic groups, completing biopsychosocial assessments, supporting crisis interventions, and ensuring continuity of care for patients throughout the treatment process. The Clinical Support Specialist helps maintain clinical coverage across programming while supporting patient engagement, safety, and treatment progression. This position requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to respond to patient needs in a dynamic treatment setting. Responsibilities Facilitate therapeutic groups as assigned within the residential treatment schedule. Co-facilitate groups with primary therapists to support treatment engagement and group management. Ensure groups follow evidence-based practices and align with the facility's clinical programming structure. Provide coverage for clinical groups during clinician absences. Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for new admissions within required timeframes. Conduct Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) reassessments as clinically indicated. Document clinical interactions, assessments, and patient progress in the electronic medical record in accordance with regulatory and facility standards. Provide individual counseling sessions to support stabilization, treatment engagement, and therapeutic progress. Assist primary therapists with patient care coordination when additional clinical support is needed. Participate in treatment planning discussions and communicate relevant patient updates to the clinical team. Respond to patient crises and provide clinical de-escalation interventions when needed. Collaborate with nursing, behavioral health technicians, and clinical leadership to ensure patient safety. Assess risk and assist with implementation of appropriate safety protocols. Assist with clinical intakes and admission assessments, ensuring patients are oriented to programming and treatment expectations. Support the discharge process, ensuring clinical documentation and patient transition needs are addressed appropriately. Skills Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail in managing patient information and documentation. Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining professionalism. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to support individuals on their recovery journey. Basic proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar healthcare software is preferred. Knowledge of confidentiality standards such as HIPAA is advantageous.
