Full Job Description What We Offer:
The Sr. Clinical Informatics Specialist serves as a trusted expert in electronic health record (EHR) systems and associated technologies, driving innovation and efficiency in clinical workflows. This role collaborates with physicians, nurses, governance committees, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance EMR functionality and ensure best practices in technology adoption.

EPIC Provider Support Key Responsibilities:
System Optimization & Innovation:
Partner with clinical teams and Epic (Dimensions) governance committees to evaluate current EMR functionality and recommend enhancements, modifications, and innovative solutions to improve processes and technology.
Operational Support:
Act as a highly skilled resource for daily EHR operations, troubleshooting issues and providing advanced technical support.
Technology Implementation:
Lead and support new technology rollouts, system upgrades, and advanced informatics solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal end-user adoption.
Training & Education:
Assist in developing training curricula and deliver education sessions to promote efficient workflows, best practices, and increased technology adoption.
Compliance & Analysis:
Conduct systemic reviews, participate in regulatory surveys, and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Performance Improvement:
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data on complex processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Leadership:
Independently lead and manage system projects in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as an expert in clinical informatics and order sets; mentor junior analysts and provide advanced technical guidance.
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in clinical informatics or healthcare IT. Strong knowledge of EMR systems (Epic preferred). Ability to lead projects with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices in healthcare technology.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
High School or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred. Masters Degree in Clinical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Business; preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of six years of relevant clinical healthcare experience, required. Minimum 2 years as a Clinical Informatics Analyst, Epic Application Analyst, Epic Training, Clinical Practice Specialist, or Clinical Leadership experience; required. Healthcare regulatory experience/knowledge strongly preferred. Epic OrderSet experience/knowledge strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Healthcare Licensure required ( RN, LPN, RT, PT, or MLS (ASCP)(CM - Med Lab Scientist ASCP Certification etc.), required. Obtain Epic Clinical Informatics Certification within twelve (12) months of hire, required.
Additional Skills Required:
Ability to lead cross-functional meetings. Prioritize multiple high-level responsibilities. Conflict resolution skills using a diplomatic approach. Demonstrates Proficiency in change readiness for the organization, being flexible as priorities change. Advanced organizational skills-Organizes tasks, resources and coordinates activities among multiple disciplines. Effective Advanced decision-making and critical thinking skills.- Advanced analytical, problem solving and diplomacy skills amongst Clinical Informatics, Epic Application teams, and Operational teams. Proven ability to work with minimal direction, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results on time. Collaborate with Clinical Informatics and Epic colleagues across the enterprise to drive strategic goals and vision for the organization. Application support of advanced complexity for acute clinical applications for a large, multi-regional healthcare system. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
