Job Description

Job Description The Group Control Analyst supports the underwriting team by managing and validating group-related documentation, including enrollment and legal agreements. This role ensures accuracy across systems that impact billing, eligibility, claims processing, and reporting. Key duties include maintaining rate and benefit information, assigning coding for financial reporting, managing contact records (including PHI), and ensuring all data in internal systems (GEMS) is accurate and up to date. The position plays a critical role in supporting customer service by ensuring smooth operations across billing, claims, and eligibility processes. The analyst is also expected to resolve discrepancies, stay informed on regulatory and industry changes, and contribute to process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Skills and Requirements Education High School Diploma (or equivalent) Bachelor's Degree Experience & Skills Knowledge of claims, enrollment, billing, or customer service processes Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience interacting with both internal teams and external clients Ability to research, analyze data, and provide recommendations Strong organizational and multitasking skills High attention to detail Ability to make sound decisions independently Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Experience leading or facilitating meetings Experience with GEMS system Strong understanding of business operations and strategic initiatives Experience reviewing group files Ability to interpret legal documents and benefit structures Background in underwriting Experience using math or statistical analysis Experience working cross-functionally with IT, Sales, or Marketing Experience in Marketing, Sales, Enrollment, Billing, or Claims environments
