Operational Data Steward Job Description The Operational Data Steward will support healthcare customer data management by consolidating and maintaining high-quality records for healthcare professionals and organizations. This role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, resolving duplicate and incomplete records, supporting data change requests, and assisting with system releases through user acceptance testing. The position requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Serve as a Data Steward for healthcare customers, including healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations. Consolidate duplicate customer records and ensure each consolidated record is accurate and complete. Verify that all required identifiers are captured and correctly listed on consolidated records. Investigate and confirm potential affiliations between healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations. Review and address field force data change requests in a timely and accurate manner. Assist broader data management functions within the team as needed. Organize, interpret, and analyze multiple data sources to support data quality and consistency. Perform data quality assurance activities to identify, correct, and prevent data issues. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for various system releases and enhancements, documenting findings and feedback. Provide ad hoc support and assistance to team members on data-related tasks and projects. Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally with internal stakeholders. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and transition quickly between assignments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Collaborate effectively in a team environment while also working independently with minimal supervision. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of coursework toward a degree in Business Administration or another applicable business-related field. Proficient computer skills, including strong experience with Microsoft Excel. Ability to create and edit pivot tables in Microsoft Excel. Experience using Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and IF statements. Ability to use Excel find functions and navigate spreadsheets efficiently. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and transition between assignments quickly while maintaining accuracy. Comfort working in a high-volume environment. Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple systems. Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with colleagues. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with customer master data and data analysis, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Familiarity with healthcare professional and healthcare organization customer data, including IMS Health HCPs and HCOs data. Experience working with Informatica data systems is a plus. Experience with Veeva or similar customer data and CRM platforms is a plus. Analytical or demonstrated analytical thinking, particularly in data-heavy roles. Interest in or exposure to data management, data quality, and master data concepts. Work Environment This is a 12-month assignment based in Plainsboro with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site and remote work. The role operates in a high-volume, data-driven environment that requires frequent interaction with multiple systems and data sources. You will use tools such as Microsoft Excel and may interact with platforms like Informatica data systems and Veeva. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Princeton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
