Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Working directly with practice leadership and the information technology team, the Healthcare Data Analyst will be responsible for acquisition, analysis, and reporting of business, clinical, and physician data that will support a range of business intelligence needs and performance improvement initiatives. Will design reports for use by physicians/administrators and develop and validate operational information for various departments making recommendations based on the data analysis and knowledge of numerous data sources. This role requires experience with large data sets, experience with relational structures, structured query language (SQL), data warehouse, and reporting techniques. Must possess a desire to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, using creativity and initiative to build a robust data reporting system to meet the needs of a rapidly growing and evolving healthcare provider.SCHEDULE
Monday & Tuesday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Wednesday 9:00 AM-12:00 PMPRINICIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively participate in and influence discussions around reporting requirements, infrastructure needs, and design. Interface directly with end users and leadership team members to understand the needs and objectives of the business. Collaborate with clinical and IT staff to support defined business requirements. Develop extraction strategies and processes to consolidate data stored in disparate sources into a data mining platform. Coordinate internally and with external partners to obtain data. Sources of data include practice information systems, systems at hospital partners, internal claims data, and statewide and national comparative data. Write complex reports using standard report-writing applications, such as Crystal Reports. Develop standardized and ad hoc reports and dashboards by using internal and external data to profile clinical and financial performance. Analyze data and prepare data trend reports. Maintain consistency and integrity of data collection and storage. Create documentation for regular and ad-hoc reports to facilitate report replication. Conduct or coordinate special analytic projects as assigned. Deliver reports and analyses in a timely fashion.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
3 to 5 years of experience as a data/reporting analyst in an entrepreneurial business environment with demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis, and report formatting/written presentation of analysis. BS/BA required. Experience with relational structures, structured query language (SQL), data warehouse and reporting techniques. Experience with healthcare software (GE Centricity RIS & GroupManagement, Nuance, Epic, etc.) is a plus. Experience with SQL Server, MS Access, Crystal Reports, Cognos, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Clinical/Healthcare experience a plus.BASIC SKILLS

Strong analytic skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and organize data to solve complex problems. Excellent verbal/written communication. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with business and systems personnel. Ability to self-manage based on assigned tasks, assuming full ownership of overall outcomes from start to finish. Strong, demonstrable analytical/problem solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.EDUCATION
