Job Description

The Clinical Administrative Intern will support the daily operations and strategic quality initiatives of the clinical administration department. This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional seeking hands-on experience in healthcare administration, clinical quality improvement, and operational support in a dynamic clinical setting. The intern will assist with various quality-driven projects and provide general administrative support to help achieve departmental goals related to patient care, compliance, and workflow efficiency. Qualifications (Required) Qualifications (Preferred) Enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Health Sciences, or a related field Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism Interest in quality improvement, compliance, and healthcare operations Self-starter with a willingness to learn and contribute proactive Position Responsibilities Assist with quality improvement (QI) initiatives, including data tracking, documentation, and reporting Participate in workflow analysis projects to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements Help develop, organize, and maintain clinical documentation templates, audit tools, and training materials Support compliance efforts, such as chart reviews, policy updates, and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., CMS, OSHA, Joint Commission) Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to gather feedback and assist in implementing best practices Assist with preparing materials for team meetings, QI presentations, and regulatory surveys Help maintain records related to clinical metrics, patient satisfaction surveys, and operational dashboards Provide administrative support for departmental initiatives as needed (scheduling, data entry, internal communications, etc.) Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Vision and hearing corrected to within normal limits is required. Must have manual dexterity to key in data; utilize computer, grab, grip, hold, tear, cut, sort, and reach.
