About the Department and/or College The Whitacre College of Engineering (WCOE) was one of the universitys original four colleges founded in 1925 and later renamed in honor of Edward E. Whitacre, Jr.

The WCOE has seven departments and approximately 4800 undergraduate and 1300 graduate students.

There are approximately 220 faculty/instructors and 115 staff in the college. We are a regionally rooted first class engineering college with national and worldwide impact. The Dean's Office in the Whitacre College of Engineering (WCOE) is dedicated to the success of our faculty, students and staff. This team serves as the leadership and operational hub of the college, guiding academic programming, faculty affairs, research initiatives, and student support, while balancing essential administrative functions. Its leadership shapes the educational experience for students, drives impactful research, manages resources effectively, and ensures that the college maintains strong ties to industry, the community, and our alumni. Major/Essential Functions Maintain student files, process, and/or authorize documentation (such as dashboard requests, hour overload requests, college transfers, program changes, last 30-hour approvals, second degree requests, concurrent enrollment, and graduate courses for undergraduate credit), and communicate with engineering advisors or other stakeholders on their requests progress as needed. Coordinate with the Assistant Director of Academics, Associate Dean for UG, Deans Office Assistant Director-Advising, and the Registrars office assigned contact each semester to manage engineering foundational course scheduling, offerings, and room assignments. Assist in analyzing student data and reports focused on new or ongoing initiatives as requested by the Assistant Director of Academics and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies. Assist in the coordination of the engineering graduation/commencement Prepare student data for various graduation needs Event logistics and execution Family invitation letters and diploma distribution Communication with students and other stakeholders Assist in notifying faculty in cases where the Dean of Students Office reports health or other issues with a student. Assist with appropriate communication with students, faculty, etc. and documentation gathering to resolve referrals for student cases. Other required job duties deemed by the Assistant Director of Academics and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; one-year related experience preferred.
