Recommend a friend Description Opportunity At Pulse Doctors , we are proud to be partnering with a leading hospital group in Norfolk to recruit a Substantive or Locum Consultant in Oncology specialising in Lung and CNS Cancers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established oncology team delivering high-quality cancer care within a progressive and patient-focused service. The successful candidate will play a key role in the management of patients with lung and central nervous system malignancies, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, specialist nurses, and allied healthcare professionals. The post offers flexible job planning, dedicated Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) time, and the opportunity to contribute to service development, education, and clinical leadership within a supportive NHS environment. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist oncology care for patients with lung and CNS cancers. Deliver outpatient clinics, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management. Participate in relevant multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and cancer pathways. Develop and implement personalised treatment plans in line with national and local guidelines. Work collaboratively with colleagues across oncology and wider cancer services to ensure seamless patient care. Contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives. Support and supervise junior medical staff and contribute to educational activities within the department. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with NHS, GMC, and Trust standards. Undertake Supporting Professional Activities (SPA) including appraisal, revalidation, teaching, and continuing professional development. Essential Criteria to Apply Full GMC registration with a licence to practise. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Clinical Oncology, or eligibility for specialist registration. FRCR (Clinical Oncology) or equivalent recognised qualification. Experience in the management of lung and/or CNS cancers at consultant level or equivalent. Demonstrable commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred oncology care. Experience participating in multidisciplinary cancer services and MDT meetings. Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Evidence of involvement in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities. Commitment to teaching, training, and continuing professional development. Eligibility to work in the UK. What's on Offer for You?
