Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) - W-2 (Full-Time)

Clinical Director / Executive Director or Designee Position Summary The Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) provides outpatient counseling and psychotherapy services to clients of Cortes Counseling with mild to severe mental health conditions and/or substance use concerns. Services are delivered in accordance with professional standards of care, applicable state and federal regulations, and Cortes Counseling policies and procedures. This is a full-time, W-2 employee position operating within a team-based clinical model under designated clinical supervision. Pay Compensation will be $45.00 per clinical hour worked on a fee-for-service basis, payable in accordance with the company's regular payroll practices and subject to all legally required and authorized deductions. You will also receive administrative pay of $25.00 per hour for approved non-clinical work. In addition, you will receive one (1) hour of clinical supervision weekly .
Cortes Counseling will also cover:
Up to $300.00 toward your LCSW exam preparation materials and, of course, the cost of your LCSW exam . Essential Duties & Responsibilities Receive and manage client referrals assigned by Cortes Counseling. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and ongoing evaluations of client mental and behavioral health needs. Provide individual psychotherapy and counseling services to scheduled clients using evidence-based clinical practices. Formulate clinical impressions and differential diagnoses within scope of licensure. Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans. Identify clients presenting with urgent or high-risk conditions (e.g., suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, psychosis) and initiate appropriate referrals to emergency or higher levels of care. Complete all required clinical documentation (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, discharge summaries) in accordance with Cortes Counseling documentation standards and timelines. Maintain accurate records to support continuity of care, compliance, quality assurance, and billing requirements. Participate in required clinical supervision, case consultation, staff meetings, and in-service trainings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers and referral sources as clinically indicated. Maintain professional competency through continuing education and ongoing training. Perform other clinical or administrative duties as assigned and within scope of practice. Work Schedule & Hours This is a full-time position . Full-time employees are expected to maintain a minimum of 27 hours of billable client sessions weekly . Work schedules are flexible and coordinated in collaboration with clinical leadership and client care needs. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must be physically present at Cortes Counseling's designated office location(s) for a minimum of three (3) days per workweek to provide in-person psychotherapy sessions . Specific on-site days, hours, and office location(s) will be assigned by Cortes Counseling based on client care, scheduling, and operational needs and may be modified as needed by Cortes Counseling. This position is not fully remote. Any approved modification to the on-site attendance requirement will be handled in accordance with applicable law and Cortes Counseling policies. Supervision & Accountability The LMSW works under the supervision of the Clinical Director, Executive Director, or designee. Work assignments are provided within established clinical and organizational objectives. Clinical leadership provides guidance in complex or non-routine situations. The employee exercises independent clinical judgment within scope of practice while adhering to Cortes Counseling policies, procedures, and quality standards. Performance is reviewed for clinical quality, compliance, and productivity expectations. Legal & Ethical Responsibilities Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Practice in accordance with Connecticut licensure requirements and professional standards. Comply with the NASW Code of Ethics. Maintain active licensure and complete required continuing education. Qualifications Active LMSW license in the State of Connecticut, in good standing. Demonstrated competence in providing outpatient psychotherapy services. Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to supervisory direction. Commitment to ethical practice, professional development, and quality care.
Pay:
