Focusing on the whole-person, we provide not only treatment, but a full spectrum of support and resources to help navigate the journey to recovery.POSITION OVERVIEW
Provides direct treatment services to clients at Home of New Vision, which include individual, group, and case management. Will participate in a collaborative effort both in and outside of the agency to coordinate services for assigned clients. Responsible for clinical documentation in files of assigned clients and other required documentation for performance improvement and outcomes management. This position is generally located at the outpatient and administrative offices, although may perform duties at other locations such as residential facility.DESCRIPTION
1. Assess, diagnose and counsel individuals with primary substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health diagnoses in an individual and group setting 2. Complete required clinical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) according to the policies and procedures of HNV 3. Meet weekly productivity requirements 4. Manage your schedule, boundaries, and caseload with professionalism and reliability 5. Conduct intakes, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning 6. Deliver trauma informed, culturally responsive, neuro-diversity/affirming care 7. Participates in general staff activities (i.e. staff meetings and clinical case consultation) 8. Maintains necessary licensing and certification requirements for credentialing 9. Responsible for crisis management resolution 10. Participates in performance reviews as appropriate 11. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel within this position.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or a related field with a development plan (or willingness to obtain one) and/or certification through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals.
- Minimum of two years' experience in the substance abuse field, with at least two years specifically working with individuals with substance use disorders, preferred.
- Experience should include therapeutic practices, group facilitation, and an understanding of addiction recovery principles, preferred.
- Current working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to confidentiality, suicidal ideation and homicidal ideation, child abuse, and mandated reporting requirements.
- An essential criterion is the employee's awareness and sensitivity to client rights, including issues of confidentiality and ethics.
- Pay for this position is based on experience, education, and professional credentialing and certification.
EXPECTATIONS
This is a full-time position. The employee will have the ability to provide clinical care based on sound theoretical knowledge. This employee is required to perform complete thorough, individualized, accurate and effective diagnostic clinical assessments. This employee needs to have the ability to maintain their caseload of assigned clients at expected level of productivity. They must be able to formulate and design treatment that is responsive to the individualized needs of each client served, along with effectively facilitating the termination process. They must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively. They will have current working knowledge of laws pertaining to the field, such as, but not limited to domestic violence, child custody, and visitation, child abuse and welfare reform. An essential criterion is for the employee to have awareness and sensitivity to client's rights, including issues of confidentiality and ethics.- Position may be filled with an appropriately licensed professional with acceptable credentials such as a Professional Counselor or
LPC. PERFORMANCE REVIEWS
Written and verbal reviews will be conducted annually and/or as appropriate. The Clinical Supervisor will complete the performance review and will meet with the employee to read and discuss this review. A copy will be given to the employee and the original will be kept in the employee file in a locked cabinet.Pay:
