Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit (MHC-P) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical counseling, with expertise in working with diverse populations, either adolescents/adults This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing evidence-based mental health services within a supportive environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic coding using ICD-9 and ICD-10 classifications. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to ensure patient safety and stability. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans and case management strategies. Utilize telehealth platforms to extend services remotely while adhering to clinical research standards and CPT coding protocols. Engage in data collection and research activities to support continuous quality improvement initiatives. Experience Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings, preferably with pediatric or geriatric populations. Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, social work practices, addiction counseling, and crisis management. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling is essential. Prior telehealth experience is preferred to facilitate remote patient care delivery. Strong background in case management, behavioral health assessments, and patient care planning is required.
