Job Description

Salary:
$80,000-$90,000/year (Negotiable, based on experience) plus health benefits, PTO, retirement plan with employer match, tuition reimbursement, and more.
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Assessment & Diagnostic Clinician to join their admissions team in Salt Lake City, UT. This role is focused on conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, determining appropriate levels of care using ASAM and LOCUS, and producing high-quality documentation that meets medical necessity and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments across diverse populations Determine DSM-5 diagnoses with clinical justification Complete ASAM and LOCUS assessments and recommend level of care Perform suicide risk screenings and develop safety plans Produce insurance-ready documentation supporting medical necessity Participate in peer-to-peer reviews and collaborate with payers Communicate findings with internal teams and external partners Ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation standards
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, MFT, or related field Active clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, CMHC, CSW, ACMHC, etc.) Strong experience with DSM-5 diagnostics Proficiency in ASAM and level of care determination Familiarity with LOCUS and clinical assessment tools Experience in behavioral health, substance use, or admissions settings Strong documentation and communication skills About the
