Job Title:

M-F Salary:
50,000 - 55,000 (Based on Experience)
Job Summary :
The Support Clinician serves as a bridge role fulfilling both therapeutic and occasional case management duties. This role can expect to complete client biopsychosocial assessments and facilitate multiple clinical content and/or process groups per week. Additionally, this role will assist in times of high acuity or census with a small case management caseload in which they will coordinate ancillary care for the client such as legal appointments, vocational issues, insurance coordination, external referrals, and general life skills. The Support Clinician will document all of the client activities that s/he is responsible for in the electronic medical record.
DUTIES INCLUDE
The Support Clinician is involved in client treatment processes in the following ways:
  • Responsible for conducting therapy groups weekly.
  • Completes Bio-Psycho-Social Assessment (BPS) and all related documentation in accordance with policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Maintains a small case management caseload as needed and provides one-on-one sessions weekly with clients to support their case management needs
  • Completes individual case management assessment and treatment plan
  • Maintains contact with important collaterals (i.e. family, probation, employer) within the scope of their case management work and release of information
  • Assures proper client consents and that other treatment documents are completed
  • Maintains contact with Clinical Director and Program Director regarding caseloads.
  • Responsible for attending and participating in mandatory weekly staff meetings to discuss client care and all aspects of administration.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure manual relating to program protocol.
  • Other duties as assigned. The Support Clinician performs and maintains professional abilities in the following areas:
  • Maintain and adhere to all Federal, State, and County regulations regarding client confidentiality and staff code of ethics.
  • Perform tasks the supervisor assigns including, but not limited to, schedule, case load, and deadlines.
  • Continuous training in critical areas, maintaining CEU expectations
  • Crisis intervention—recognizing emotional stress and utilizing resources to resolve problems.
  • Client education—provide current alcohol/drug information and available resources to clients, groups, and families.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous experience in the addiction field.
  • Ability to prioritize and provide appropriate treatment protocols.
