Child-Focused Therapist, LAMFT

What you'll do Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Facilitate individual and family therapy sessions, applying various therapeutic modalities such as play therapy with children. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in acute distress, ensuring their safety and well-being. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, including case management and referrals as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and proper record-keeping. Educate families on behavioral management strategies to foster positive interactions at home and in the community. Basic qualifications Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, seeking full licensure (LAMFT). Preferred qualification Experience completing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans and clinical case notes with the ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and medical records management. Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques, ability to build rapport and offer support.
