Position Overview SteppenStone Youth Treatment Center (SSYTC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Therapist to provide therapeutic services to children and adolescents and their families. The Clinical Therapist works as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, delivering both home-based and center-based services while supporting families in developing safe, stable, and sustainable home placements for youth. This position requires strong clinical judgment, thorough documentation, and a commitment to professional growth. The Clinical Therapist receives clinical supervision and leadership from the Clinical Executive Director or their designee. Key Responsibilities Provide individual, family, and therapeutic services to youth and families as part of a clinical treatment team. Deliver services in both home-based and center-based settings, as assigned. Assist families and caregivers in working toward measurable treatment goals identified in individualized service plans. Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation, including: Case records Attendance records Progress notes Monthly and discharge summaries Direct contact documentation Professional assessments and evaluations as requested Participate in Child and Family Team Meetings (CFTMs), clinical meetings, and professional meetings as required. Maintain confidentiality of all case records in compliance with ethical standards, informed consent requirements, and state regulations. Provide authorized access to case records for the Department of Children's Services (DCS) and other approved state officials, as applicable. Participate in training and continuing education to support professional development and clinical best practices. Adhere to administrative direction from the Chief Executive Officer or designee and clinical direction from the Clinical Executive Director or designee. Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant clinical field. Licensed or certified to provide clinical treatment in the State of Tennessee OR licensable and actively completing requirements toward licensure. Experience and knowledge working with adolescents with sexual behavior problems. Strong written, organizational, and documentation skills. High attention to detail and ability to implement new ideas to support clinical program growth. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage responsibilities independently. Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
