Job Description

Find your calling at Mercy! The Specialty Account Coordinator - Radiation Oncology is responsible for ensuring radiation therapy services are financially cleared and authorized prior to treatment initiation. This role manages insurance verification, benefits review, preauthorization, and denials management while maintaining compliance with payer regulations and Epic workflows. The position requires close coordination with clinical teams, scheduling, and payers to prevent delays in patient care and serves as a subject-matter resource for radiation oncology billing and authorization processes.
Position Details:
Qualifications Education:
Some college coursework in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of related healthcare revenue cycle, authorization, or billing experience required; radiation oncology experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of payer requirements, preauthorization processes, HIPAA regulations, and denial prevention strategies.
