Job Description

Responsible for the delivery of education specific to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other related technologies that support the delivery of patient care. Focused on creating and implementing educational solutions that are flexible, adaptable and responsive to the needs of the medical staff and clinicians. Works collaboratively with individuals, teams, and departments to support the design, delivery and evaluation of instructor-led training. Builds and maintains positive relationships with customers and stakeholders to create trust and ease transition towards technology adoption. Exercises exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service, issue identification and problem-solving. Accountable to deliver results on-time and according to the needs of the customer. Maintains a strong work ethic, effectively manages competing priories and accomplishes assignments with minimal supervision. Applies critical thinking, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem solving. Proficient in utilizing tracking tools to document activities and use data to monitor effectiveness. Promotes best practice, customer focused learning experiences. Functions as a member of an interdisciplinary Education team to support a Patient First culture of accountability. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
Job Requirements Minimum Education:
Associates Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Education:
Not Applicable Minimum Experience:
2 years of experience in a healthcare related environment or experience with implementation and support functions, preferably in clinical setting or experience working closely with MDs or other clinicians
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of Cerner or other Health Information System Instructional design experience
