- Contract Overview We are seeking a dedicated Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare team.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting clinical and administrative staff with precise documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, familiarity with medical coding systems, and experience working within electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient healthcare delivery through meticulous record-keeping and data management. Duties The Medical Record Clerk processes information into patient health records under general supervision.
Document Processing:
Prepare, scan, index, and perform quality checks on medical records and documents.
Operational Flexibility:
Float between departments and periodically travel offsite within the physicians group as requested.
Medical Knowledge:
General knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR), computerized practice management, record-keeping systems, and medical terminology.
Technical Skills:
Strong computer skills (data entry and typing) and proficiency with office technology (copier, scanner, fax).
Work Environment:
Ability to work effectively, accurately, and efficiently in a high-activity environment with tight deadlines.
Attributes:
Must be adaptable, honest, dependable, and conscientious.
MUST HAVE
Should have 1+ years of experience accurately preparing, scanning, indexing, and quality-checking Patient Medical Records in electronic health record (EHR) systems Strong working knowledge of electronic health record applications (e.g., Epic, or similar EMR/EHR software). High proficiency in Windows OS, basic computer navigation, and document printing functions.
Medical Terminology:
Basic knowledge and understanding of standard medical terminology.
Filing Systems:
Proven ability to accurately process, organize, and file records using both alphabetical and numerical filing systems.
Typing Speed:
Minimum 40+ WPM with high accuracy.
Handwriting:
Must have clear, highly legible handwriting for manual charting and documentation notes.

8AM-4:30PM Weekly schedule: M-F CH1
