Job Description:
Collaborates with various departments to streamline documentation workflows and supports the implementation of best practices in clinical documentation. Develops and maintains a robust knowledge of the product initiatives and categories supported, ensuring data integrity and effective communication of findings. Other duties as assigned. Designs, builds, and configures within assigned Epic system modules and supporting third-party applications. Develops test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, performs unit, system, and integration testing, and documents outcomes. Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies, initiates escalation procedures, and provides recommendations for resolution. Remains current on industry trends and vendor/application/system updates, ensuring software modifications/upgrades work according to Epic specifications. Follows departmental standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases, providing documentation and training on system upgrades and new releases. Participates in multiple cross-functional projects, utilizing project planning and coordination methodologies, tools, and lean methodologies. Actively participates in project, team, departmental, and other meetings, reporting status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to the manager. Serves as an active member of the Clinical Applications Team, dedicated to developing electronic documentation solutions that support clinical workflow and practice. Provides on-call support in a 24/7 production systems environment, acting as the primary support contact for the application's end-users.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Epic Ambulatory and Phoenix Certification or ability to complete certifications within 3 months of hire [Required] Basic Microsoft suite of products [Required] Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills [Required] Must have strong written and verbal communication skills [Required] Work with minimal guidance [Required] Rapid learner [Required] Knowledge of clinical/technical workflow [Preferred] Must have knowledge and experience with Electronic Information Systems (e.g., Electronic Health Record) [Required] Strong computer skills including basic troubleshooting, and critical thinking [Required] Strong clinical workflow knowledge [Required] Working knowledge of how departments relate to one another and process flows in between them [Preferred] Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite [Preferred]

High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
in a field of study such as business, IS, or a healthcare related
Work Experience:
1+ emr application/implementation experience [Preferred] 1+ experience communicating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience [Required] 1+ years of clinical or technical background [Preferred]
