This pivotal role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with Medicare regulations, and delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing leadership, long-term care, and home health services, with a passion for guiding teams to achieve excellence in patient outcomes. Responsibilities Previous Medicare Home Health DON Experience required. Knowledge of Kinnser Software and Medicare Oasis required. Provide strategic leadership and supervision for nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct care nurses, ensuring high-quality patient care delivery. Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to each patient's needs, aligning with Medicare guidelines and long-term care regulations. Oversee documentation review processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with
HIPAA, EHR
systems, and medical records standards. Manage shift scheduling and staffing levels to optimize resource utilization while maintaining regulatory compliance. Ensure all clinical staff adhere to safety protocols, including HIPAA privacy standards and medical terminology accuracy. Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing clinical documentation, analyzing patient outcomes, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare policies, home health regulations, and acute care practices to ensure agency compliance and accreditation readiness. Requirements Proven nursing leadership experience within Medicare home health agency. Extensive knowledge of long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and nursing best practices. Demonstrated supervising experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) documentation processes. Strong understanding of managing care facility teams through administrative clinical supervision and shift management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to review medical records accurately and oversee documentation review processes effectively. Valid nursing license with current state registration; additional certifications in hospice or acute care are advantageous.
