Intermediate Job Description The EHR Continuous Educator, Provider Focused position requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented trainer to join our dynamic healthcare IT team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in educating and supporting providers and operational staff through training and coaching. This position collaborates with clinical, billing, and operational teams to enhance workflows, ensure system integrity, and support efficient healthcare delivery.
Location:
This is an on-site position located in Hilo, Hawai'i.
Essential Job Functions:
Facilitate training needs to managers, Providers, and Epic team Assist with creation of organization-specific tip sheets and supplemental training materials Provide at-the-elbow support during go-live Identify workflows that need training reinforcement Use productivity data to identify staff and providers that need retraining or 1:1 help Support providers in becoming proficient in workflows, including using data and dashboards to guide education Coordinate upgrade communication Assist in developing and delivering training programs on the Epic system, ensuring proficiency and adherence to best practices. Provide ongoing support to end-users on Epic applications. Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations, process workflows, and training materials. Generate and analyze reports to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Project Management:
Lead and participate in project planning, implementation, and post-implementation support. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project milestones. Provide leadership for EHR initiatives and support. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Epic Training Requirement:
Epic training will be provided and is required for this position. Employees must successfully complete all required Epic end-user training within six (6) months of employment.
Education:
Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience:
Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, or Electronic Health Records, or training/education-related functions. Demonstrated aptitude in creating and facilitating small training sessions, including developing presentations and presenting material.
