Job Description

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Application Specialist, Ambulatory, acts as a liaison between Information Technology, business users, vendors, and clinic based physicians. This includes knowing healthcare regulations; deep knowledge of day-to-day workings of the areas that they support, and how the use of the existing technology and how new technology can improve patient care and the goals of both the business user and MHHC. This position will work in conjunction with the business user to support current IT systems and process and continuously improve the patient's experience and outcomes through process improvement and IT systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Three to five years IT experience. Three to five years of either clinical or front and back office experience preferred. Understanding of HL7 Interfaces preferred. Experience working with an Ambulatory EMR system, eCW preferred. Experience working with physicians a plus. Prefer experience with CPOE and advanced clinicals. Knowledge of clinical, registration, medical records workflows. Strong process improvement, project management, communication, training, decision making and troubleshooting skills. Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred. Personal Ability to communicate with other professionals Ability to analyze and recommendations on projects Possess superior human relation skill Ability to lead small project teams. Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
