Job Description

The RN Clinical Informatics/Quality Reporting Specialist serves as a liaison between clinical operations, information technology, and quality management to support accurate clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and hospital quality reporting initiatives. This position is responsible for analyzing clinical workflows, optimizing electronic health record utilization, monitoring quality metrics, and coordinating data abstraction and submission for state, federal and accreditation reporting requirements. This position promotes evidence-based practice, supports performance improvement initiatives, and ensures integrity of clinical data used for regulatory reporting, reimbursement and patient safety initiatives.
Education:
Education requirements met prior to licensure through Louisiana State Board of Nursing BSN or Master's degree in Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field, preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital. Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical informatics, quality management, data abstraction, or healthcare analytics, preferred. Experience with EHR systems such as MedHost, Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar healthcare platforms, preferred. Intermediate Experience in Microsoft Office products, and SQL, preferred. Knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulatory requirements, strongly preferred
