Check-In Specialist (part-time)
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Check-In Specialist to join and work part time with our team . The Check-In Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient check-in process, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of medical terminology and patient confidentiality. The Check-In Specialist is primarily responsible for greeting patients as they check in for their appointments. The candidate will ensure that every responsibility and duty is carried out with accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality. The check-in specialist will act as a team player with coworkers, their supervisor, and administration to ensure that quality services are provided at the clinic.
Responsibilities:
Patient Check-In:
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner. Ensure all required forms are completed accurately and efficiently. Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other team members. Collect, verify, and enter patient information, including personal details, insurance information, and reason for the visit. Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and HIPAA regulations in handling patient information. Prepare patient charts for consultation and prep charts for next day patients. Answer phone calls and handle faxes. Perform other related duties as needed. Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Management:
Input and update patient information in the electronic health record system. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient records, following established protocols.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting preferred. Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred. Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism.
