The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in clinical environments such as nursing homes, hospitals, teaching hospitals, and intensive care units. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and evaluating staff training programs that enhance patient care quality, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster professional growth among healthcare providers. The coordinator will serve as a vital link between clinical staff and administrative leadership to promote continuous education and development. Duties Develop comprehensive training curricula tailored to clinical staff working in critical care, pediatrics, adult care, and home health environments. Coordinate and facilitate ongoing education sessions, workshops, and competency assessments for nursing personnel across various specialties. Ensure all training activities adhere to HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and healthcare compliance requirements. Collaborate with department heads to identify staff development needs based on patient care quality metrics and regulatory updates. Maintain accurate records of training participation, certifications, and competency evaluations within medical records systems. Promote a culture of learning by encouraging staff engagement in professional development opportunities related to physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care best practices. Support the onboarding process by providing initial training for new hires in hospital settings, emphasizing critical care procedures and patient safety protocols. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback collection and performance metrics to continuously improve educational offerings. Requirements Proven experience in clinical settings such as nursing homes, hospitals—including ICU—and teaching hospitals with a focus on acute care environments. Strong background in critical care nursing, pediatrics, adult education, or home health services. In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations relevant to healthcare documentation. Demonstrated ability to develop educational content tailored for diverse healthcare professionals. Experience with medical records management and familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously. Effective communication skills to engage staff at all levels and foster a collaborative learning environment. Certification or prior experience in training & development within healthcare settings is advantageous.
