In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for members, ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience and supporting the administrative staff with essential documentation and data entry. Your proactive attitude and strong organizational skills will contribute to efficient clinic operations, accurate member record management, and exceptional patient service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a fast-paced healthcare environment while making a meaningful difference in member care. Duties Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and complete insurance verification processes using systems. Collect and review patient information, ensuring accuracy in medical records and documentation review for completeness Assist with scheduling appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems and coordinate care plans with clinical staff Maintain organized medical records, including filing physical documents and updating electronic files within systems. Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette while providing excellent patient service. Support office management tasks like data entry, typing, filing, and managing office supplies to keep the clinic running smoothly Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions and documentation processes
Experience:
Previous experience in office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems is essential.
VERY STRONG
computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and health information management software Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems and demonstrate professional phone etiquette Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse patient populations effectively. VERY STRONG organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and records management
