Job Description

JOB DUTIES
Communicates with Analysts on key issues ensuring user access is set up appropriately and accurately according to HIPAA regulations. Supports Meditech application software with a firm understand of module functionality related to access and integration. Provide support by troubleshooting issues related to user access. Assists in the updates and support of system integration with Patient Portal. Effectively communicates project status updates to Team Leaders. Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and completes assignments within acceptable time limits. Coordinates and oversees the testing and delivery of custom or standard software changes including major software upgrades. Assists in the development of training materials to educate users in a proficient manner. Demonstrates good judgment in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instructions.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED A 2-4
year degree in Computer Science from College or University is preferred. A minimum of seven years' experience in application support as programmer, analyst, accounting, or a healthcare related field. This individual needs to be highly trained in all aspects of the Meditech System. The working knowledge of Personal Computers (workstations and servers) is preferred. Must be able to implement, maintain and support specific Meditech applications. Analyzes processes which relate to these applications and consult with users regarding improvements to maximize efficiency. Must be able to communicate and effectively exchange information with Information Systems staff, other Meadville Medical Center staff, physicians, physician office staff, and other customers. Must be available for after hours on-call coverage for patient care critical interface issues.
