About the Role We're hiring Clinical EHR Data Abstractors to support large-scale clinical chart abstraction and data migration projects. This role is responsible for accurately extracting clinical information from EHR documentation into structured formats using defined project rules and SOPs. Ideal candidates are detail-driven, consistent, and comfortable working in a process-driven environment where accuracy and data quality matter. Key Responsibilities Abstract clinical data from EHRs into designated tools/templates using project SOPs and rules Perform data extraction and validation (confirm accuracy, completeness, and consistency) Maintain a strong QA/QC mindset: self-check work, catch errors early, and minimize rework Complete data collection tasks and ensure required fields are populated correctly Perform basic troubleshooting (identify issues, document them, escalate when needed) Communicate questions, updates, and progress daily using Microsoft Teams Always maintain strict
HIPAA/PHI
compliance Required Qualifications 1-2+ years of professional experience in data entry, information systems, help desk, healthcare IT, or other process-driven roles High School Diploma or equivalent required Intermediate Excel skills (sorting/filtering, basic formulas, formatting, data cleanup) Proficient and advanced medical terminology (must be comfortable interpreting clinical documentation) Comfortable with data quality checks and validating extracted data for accuracy Able to navigate and utilize Microsoft Teams effectively Incredible communication skills (clear, timely, professional written and verbal communication) Preferred (Nice to Have) Familiarity with common EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athena, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, etc.) Familiarity with healthcare data standards (a plus) Prior experience in chart abstraction, data migration, clinical documentation review, or QA/QC workflows Experience working from SOPs/rubrics in a structured production environment Remote Work Requirements (HIPAA Compliance) A private, HIPAA-compliant workspace (no public/shared spaces) Secure internet connection and appropriate device security practices Ability to always protect PHI from unauthorized viewing/access Professional Attributes (Must Have) High integrity, discretion with confidential information, and strong ownership of work Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline Calm under pressure; able to manage time and prioritize Team-oriented and respectful in fast-moving environments Proficient communication skills and responsiveness during the work window Ready to join our abstraction team? Pay:
