- Description
- Position Summary The Sr.
- Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Lead the longterm roadmap for Epic Dorothy, ensuring alignment with organizational clinical strategy, regulatory requirements, and Epic best practices.
- Serve as the primary advisor to clinical leadership on Dorothy capabilities, optimization opportunities, and system impacts.
- Chair or actively participate in governance committees, change control boards, and interdisciplinary design groups.
- Advanced System Design & Architecture
- Architect complex Dorothy workflows, documentation tools, orders, decision support, and integration points with other Epic modules.
- Lead major build initiatives, including new functionality rollouts, enterprisewide optimization projects, and multisite standardization efforts.
- Evaluate and implement advanced Epic features, Foundation System updates, and emerging Dorothy capabilities.
- Clinical Workflow Optimization
- Conduct highlevel clinical workflow assessments and redesigns, partnering with respiratory therapy, nursing, and physician leaders.
- Identify inefficiencies, safety risks, and improvement opportunities; translate them into scalable, sustainable system solutions.
- Drive interdisciplinary workflow alignment across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural areas. Complex Issue Resolution & Support
- Serve as the highest escalation point for Dorothyrelated issues, performing deepdive analysis and rootcause investigations.
- Develop longterm solutions that reduce recurring issues and improve system reliability.
- Maintain expertlevel documentation for build, testing, and support processes. Testing, Validation & Quality Assurance
- Oversee testing strategy for upgrades, releases, and major enhancements.
- Ensure crossmodule validation with ClinDoc, Orders, Beacon, Stork, and other clinical applications.
- Establish quality standards and ensure adherence across project teams. Required Qualifications
- Epic Dorothy certification (NVT, RT, or related Dorothy credentials).
- 5-7+ years of experience supporting Epic clinical applications, with at least 3 years focused on Dorothy or closely related modules.
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows, especially respiratory therapy, interdisciplinary documentation, and inpatient care processes.
- Proven experience leading largescale Epic projects, upgrades, or optimization initiatives.
- Strong analytical, architectural, and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with Sr. clinical and operational leaders. Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical experience (Respiratory Therapist, RN, or other licensed clinical role).
- Experience with EpicCare Inpatient, ClinDoc, Orders, Beacon, or Stork.
- Prior experience in a Sr. analyst, lead analyst, or application owner role.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (Joint Commission, CMS, state requirements) impacting clinical documentation. Core Competencies

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $80.00
- $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
