ABOUT THE ROLE TRC
Talent Solutions seeks an Epic Workflow Informaticist to join a growing healthcare organization on a contract-to-hire basis. This organization is a premier, rapidly expanding physical therapy and outpatient rehabilitation enterprise currently leading a large-scale clinical quality and workflow optimization initiative designed to transform the patient journey from initial referral through completion of care. This high-visibility role will focus on architecting and standardizing front-of-house Epic workflows across a rapidly growing network of clinics. You will serve as the subject matter expert for referral management, scheduling, authorizations, and patient access workflows while helping drive patient retention, reduce referral leakage, and improve operational consistency. The ideal candidate combines deep Epic expertise with the ability to make independent workflow decisions that positively impact both patient outcomes and business performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate, design, and standardize front-of-house Epic workflows with a focus on referral management, scheduling, authorization processes, and patient access. Analyze and optimize visit type logic, scheduling workflows, and decision trees across multiple partner organizations. Identify opportunities to reduce patient leakage and improve patient retention throughout the care journey. Serve as the Epic Cadence, Prelude, and Ambulatory subject matter expert, providing recommendations for system configuration and workflow improvements. Partner with clinical, operational, and technology stakeholders to ensure workflows support organizational goals and patient care objectives. Collaborate with internal IT teams to translate workflow requirements into scalable Epic solutions. Drive standardization efforts across newly acquired clinics and partner organizations while maintaining operational effectiveness. Support reporting accuracy and workflow consistency through process improvement and governance initiatives.

Experience supporting high-volume, recurring patient visit environments such as physical therapy, rehabilitation, or ambulatory care settings.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to evaluate existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and develop standardized solutions.
Decision-Making:
Proven ability to make independent workflow and operational recommendations rather than simply executing system builds.
Communication Skills:
Strong ability to collaborate with clinical leaders, operational stakeholders, and technical teams.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to balance patient experience, operational efficiency, and organizational goals when designing workflows. TRC Talent Solutions is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
